Spinach, pea and chicken gnocchi

(Serves 4)


  • 1 onion
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 chicken breast
  • Frozen spinach, around 8 cubes
  • 1 cup of frozen peas 
  • 2 tbsp creme fresh
  • 1 packet gnocchi
  • Parmesan cheese to grate on top


  • Finely chop the onion. Soften in a pan with some oil and a bit of butter
  • Add a chopped clove of garlic
  • Push the onion and garlic to the side of the pan
  • Slice 1 chicken breast and add to the pan turning to seal lightly brown the pieces
  • Add 2 tablespoons of creme fresh and a splash of water
  • Cook 1 bag of gnocchi in salted boiling water in separate pan
  • In the sauce pan at add one mug full of frozen peas and the lumps of frozen spinach. Cover with a lid and bring to a simmer. 
  • When the gnocchi is cooked transfer into your sauce pan, including a small amount of the cooking water
  • Bring all to a simmer and cook for a further couple of mins
  • Grate parmesan on the top and pop under the grill for a few minutes until slightly crisp on top
  • Eat
