On the 14th of April 2017 my life was saved, due to a double lung transplant, and thanks to my donor.
In memory of him, and in an effort to raise money for the two hospitals who have kept me alive both before and after my transplant; Papworth and The Royal Brompton.
To do this, on Sunday 12th of April 2020, I will be undertaking the challenge of cycling between Papworth Hospital (Cambridge) and The Brompton Hospital (London).
The ride, around 70 miles / 100 km, will be a huge challenge both physically and mentally but I hope will raise funds for these charities which are incredibly close to my heart as well as highlighting the huge impact organ donation can have and the importance of people registering their wishes.
Please donate if you are able and take 5 minutes to register your wishes (www.organdonation.nhs.uk) and talk them through with your loved ones.
Thank you x
*With huge thanks to Townsends Light Blue Cycle Centre who have generously lent me a bike to train on and for the ride
